This course is designed to help students get strong foundation in human resource management concepts and techniques to do their jobs. Through lectures, real company examples, and practical exercises students can learn how to become Human Resource Manager in the future.
Learning is not a spectator sport. Students do not learn much by just sitting in classes listening to teachers, memorizing pre-packaged assignments, or completing quizzes. Students need opportunities to talk about what they are learning, write about it, relate it to past experience, and apply it to daily life. Therefore, this class will be structured with lectures and activities for students to learn by themselves.
Knowing what you know and don’t know focuses learning. Feedbacks will be given, and reflections of what students have learned will be asked.
Time plus energy equals learning. Learning effective time management is critical for students and professionals alike. The course will be developed by allocating realistic amount of time for effective learning.
High expectations are important for everyone – for the poorly prepared, for those unwilling to exert themselves, and for the bright and well-motivated. This course is a required class, I will have certain expectations from students.
There are many roads to learning. People are different in talent and styles of learning, therefore different type of activities and homework will be given to give a chance for everyone to learn.
